THE VINEYARD IS SMALL ENOUGH - ABOUT 4 HECTARES - TO BE WORKED MAINLY BY HAND. IT IS PLANTED TO CABERNET SAUVIGNON, CABERNET FRANC, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. The sea breeze from the Atlantic Ocean and a light South Easter cool the vineyard down in summer and allow THE GRAPES TO RIPEN SLOWLY. EVERY BUNCH OF GRAPES IS INDIVIDUALLY SELECTED AND HARVESTED BY HAND.

The soil is a very fertile, deep red
loam/clay. Its water retention is so good that irrigation is unnecesary and
minimum soil disturbance is practised.
East-west oriented rows provide maximum protection against the sun.
